Our Junior Main Stage Musical program is for youth ages 8-10 (grades 3-5). The goal of the Junior Main Stage Musical Program is to introduce the skills required for putting on a production. These include skills such as basic staging and movement, understanding and creating a character, singing in a group, and introductory dance & choreography. We begin our Junior Program with a few basic performance workshops to get the children comfortable with each other and the instructors. Following our workshops, all participants audition for a role in the production and rehearsals begin!

When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy and her dog, Toto, are whisked away to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. This classic tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations.
