NEW STAGE Workshop 5: Line Memorization

  • The Palace Theatre 710 Dundas Street London, ON, N5W 2Z4 Canada (map)

Workshop 5: Line Memorization

Sunday, February 18, 10:00am-1:00pm or

Tuesday, February 20, 7:00pm-10:00pm

How do actors remember all of those lines? Actor and coach Kathy Quayle (LCP credits: Company,  What I Did Last Summer, Inherit the Wind), and Kaitlyn Rietdyk (New Stage Coordinator) help you find out. Come find out in this workshop on Line Memorisation for theatre performance. You’ll look at different line memorisation techniques, what to do if you’re an auditory or a visual learner, and how to use your body and breath as a tool for muscle memory and word association. Use keys in the text to help those lines stick, and share the experience with others in a supportive and exploratory environment.

Not in New Stage, but interested in the workshop?

You can register independently; $25 for LCP Members, $50 for non-members. LCP Memberships are available for purchase online for $20.

Workshops spaces are only available for purchase online on a first come-first served basis. If you do not have an existing customer profile, you will need to fill one out before making your workshop purchase, including an active email address. You will receive information and correspondence regarding the workshops via email.

If the workshop you wish to attend happens to sell out before you can register, don’t despair! In the event this happens we will create a waitlist. If you wish to be placed on a waitlist for sold out New Stage workshops, you will need to email program coordinator Kaitlyn Rietdyk here. We will not be accepting waitlist requests via phone or facebook messenger.
